Liz Bishop, the Republican nominee for State Representative in the 76th District, has earned the support of the Chicago Tribune Editorial Board, the Technology & Manufacturing Association (TMA), and AFP Action heading into Election Day on November 3.
Chicago Tribune (Oct. 13, 2026)
The Tribune Editorial Board endorsed Liz for the general election. It described her as “a calming influence” who would bring balance to the legislature:
“We believe she would bring a practical perspective on a wide range of issues, but most importantly those that affect our economy and state finances… Illinois needs more steady hands willing to exercise fiscal restraint.”
This is Liz’s third consecutive Tribune endorsement, after 2024 and the 2026 primary. Read the full editorial.
Technology & Manufacturing Association (Oct. 2026)
TMA named Liz a Recommended Candidate to Champion Illinois Manufacturing.
AFP Action (Sep. 10, 2026)
AFP Action endorsed Liz as one of eight candidates for the Illinois General Assembly, chosen “for their leadership, fiscal responsibility and commitment to increasing opportunity for all Illinoisans.”
These join Liz’s existing support from the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police, sheriffs across LaSalle, DeKalb, and Bureau counties, State Sen. Sue Rezin, and local leaders across the district.
